Yes - this works for windows machines with C ports. I have purchased 3 of them for our newer Windows computers and they work great.

No. Surface Pro 6 has a standard USB 3 port. This requires a USB-C port. I use it on a Surface Go and it works well, but the Surface Go is the only Surface tablet with USB-C.
